You Are Courage
There are times in your life when doubt will arise; a flood that muddies the waters of clarity and truth.
It settles as familiar sediment, and all becomes clear again. Strength and dignity have always been with me.
Ephemeral qualities I thought, but they are character imprints that have deeply rooted themselves when the wind has blown strongest, passed on to me through a lineage of women whose war-torn fingers clung firmly to barren soil.
Unbreakable tenacity and untamed howling, commanding downpours to quench unquenchable soil.
Fingers, digging madly at muddied Earth, allowing water to rise, flood, and purify.
Receding waters settling into a solid foundation.
New life springing from passing chaos; the seed of potential taking root.
A tiny acorn with the inner knowing that a great Oak lived within its soul, this silent knowing settling into a solid foundation of power, a resolute power with no show of force.
Strength and dignity slowly rising, undetected by most, but SHE sees.
Roots expanding into the dark silence of Creation; an ancient wisdom born in silent darkness.
Now she sees. Darkness is her ally, a teacher of SHE.
Ancestral bones whispering gently, “Your legacy is courage’, and so the flame begins to rise.
Flaming branches reaching for the sun, rising to ignite a heart with undying love.
Hidden wisdom returning, shape-shifting into an ancient Oak.
Expansion continues but now with much more ease; the strength grown in darkness, and the wisdom of trees.
